Even in France.

A thing rarely seen indeed, I think I haven’t seen a 21 for at least 5 years, if not more. Same goes for the 19 and early Méganes though.

The French do like their old cars and vans. I saw a BX yesterday.

Is that an Eagle Medallion I see?

Bet they’re all diesels too!
Up until like 5-ish years ago, I would see several BX around here, nowadays almost all of them are gone. Same story goes for 405s, 309s and 205s, all gone, even the one that used to belong to my granddad. Finding out that one had been scrapped made me sad, it was like new, apart from a sizable dent in the boot lid.

LOL. Came here to call it the “French market Eagle Medallion” just to be funny. Was beaten to the punch. Thank you.
Also, I wonder what’s a more common sight, the Medallion in the US or the 21 in France.

If you are following certain car spotters on flickr, you’d be surprised how many of these still seem to be around especially in France. I got addicted to browsing their photo streams and now I am having search alerts for early Renault Safranes set up on every uk used car website...

They all depreciated to close to zero, so a combination of a leaky exhaust and bald tires could mean the end. None of those PSA cars you mentioned is rust prone, unreliable, complex or has expensive parts. The only exception are the old suspension lines of the BX, that is expensive to fix.
